5th Grade Save the Date: The 5th Grade Performance & Memory Night will be Tuesday, May 29th----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lines Run Club: Thursday 5/17 - Game Day (Candy Run) Kids will form teams based on grade. Teams will visit 7-8 fitness stations. Kids will receive a piece of candy at each station (similar to our Fall CandyRun). ***we are in need of candy*** Please let Laura Horak know if you are able to provide a bag of small candy (no chocolate). Tuesday 5/22 - Distance Run Last RC practice - we will run through south Fox Point or down the sidewalk to Wyngate. "Lines on the Run" Tshirts If your child did not earn a t-shirt during the Fall Season, please contact Shay Cullen. We have limited sizes left but want to be sure everyone has a shirt. Midwest Bone and Joint will order more. RUN FOR RELAY Fun Run - Wednesday, May 23rd at 3:30 1, 2 and 3 mile course through south Fox Point - course monitors, water station, music Wear Red with purple accessories - Purple will represent our support of the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life on June 8th Optional donations to the "Lifelines" Relay for Life Team - donors will receive free give aways at the Relay for Life table. Contact Nadine Manello ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Garden Club: Lines Garden Club is open to all 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. We meet in the garden from 3:40PM - 4:00PM on Monday's during September and October. We will begin harvesting and then preparing the garden for winter. On April 30, 2012 we will resume meeting on Monday's from 3:40PM - 4:45PM through June 4, 2012. Please click here for the sign-up form. April 30: 3:40 - 4:45pm - Planting cold weather crops (weather permitting) May 7: 3:40 - 4:45pm - Delicious Recipes with Veggies and Herbs - we will prepare and taste recipes using veggies & herbs May 14: 3:40 - 4:45pm - Seeds starting in containers (discussion on soil & composting) May 21: 4:00 - 5:00pm - Field Trip to Crabtree Nature Center in Barrington. This is a parent/child activity and requires the parent to attend the field trip (siblings are welcome) June 4: 3:40 - 4:45pm - Planting warm weather crops (weather permitting) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Relay for Life 2012 - Friday, June 8th Become a superhero and join the Lines PTO Relay for Life Team (LifeLINES).
